Mediabox melding oververhitting

Good evening,  my Mediabox TV keeps giving a message that the media box is overheated and then turns itself off. The device is clean and dust-free, but very hot. I've put it on a grid now but that doesn't really help. Your advice please. I received it only 2 weeks ago and until then I am not able to watch the TV.

Make sure that your ZIP code en housenumber are placed in your community-profile . A moderator will help you further on during workdays (mon - fri)

Thanks for joining the Ziggo Community. Your set-top box seems to be faulty and should not display an overheating notification. I have ordered a replacement and this should arrive within 3 workdays via PostNL.

The old and fauly box should be returned. Return information will be included in the package you're about to recieve. If you do have any questions afterwards, please let us know.

Dear Ziggo, I have exactly the same problem. My Mediabox is >6 years old now, and since a few days ago it overheats regularly. This is causing us big trouble when working from home. Can you send us a replacement please?

Goodmorning @stott82 and welcome to our Community! Pretty annoying that your box heats up most of the times. Time for some action to replace the box. You will get one as soon as possible. Please keep an eye on your e-mail inbox for the Track & trace code.

Hello,

I am using Ziggo Media box XL for less than 5 months, and recently, it starts displaying the message that the media box is overheated and should be switched off ; There is enough ventilation around the media box; I had to switch off the box for a moment to coll off, and restart again; But the message is becoming more frequent; I appreciat if you customer care can advice.

Dissapointing to read you experience some issues with the FAN of the Mediabox XL. We will swap the box for a new one and make sure you receive this within 3 days.
