KPN Box and Media Converter

Hello, I've moved to a new house and the internet connections are a bit weird.

There is only one red fiber cable coming from under the house. No AOP.

The red cable is connected to a KPN Box (see the attached image).

The cable coming out of the KPN Box is connected to a Media Converter MCT-3002.

The previous owner of the house told me to connect the output of the media converter (which is just a LAN cable) to the Ziggo modem.

As a result, the Ziggo Connectbox I'm using is flashing green. I tried changing cables and resetting, didn't work.

Any ideas or do I need a technician?

Thanks for the replies!

Ziggo and KPN are 2 different companies, Ziggo signal is not delivered via KPN.

You must have a Ziggo (coax) cable somewhere or Ziggo cannot deliver to your house.

Sometimes previous owners just cut the cable, so it can be very hard to find.

As a a new or recently moved customer you are entitled to a free technician. He can help you find the coax.

Kies de juiste monteur (ziggo.nl)

Did you do the postcodecheck to check if ziggo is available at your adres?

You wrote that you moved to a new house. Do you mean another house, or a newly build house? If it's the latter, then it seems Ziggo hasn't brought their network to your house, otherwise you would see a bright green coax cable as well next to the red fibre cable.

Then the next question is if Ziggo is going to connect your houses to their network, and if so when.

I checked the postcode, Ziggo is indeed available at my place. The technician will come and try to find a green coax cable. The red cable will not work with Ziggo apparently...
