Welcome on the Ziggo Community @kostaszyg!

It is definately possible to change your wifi-password into a password of your own choice. Like @Steefb mentioned it is important to know which modem you use. According to our information, this is a Ubee EVW3226.
Please follow the next steps:

  • Go to http://192.168.0.1
  • Login with username admin and password admin
  • Click on wireless
  • Click on security
  • Fill in your new wifi-password behind ‘password phrase’ and enter the new password again behind ‘type the password again'.
  • Click on save setings. Your wifi-password is been changed.

Please let me know if it all worked out

Which router do you have?

Usually you can reset to factory default by using a small pinhole on the back.

Factory password should be on a sticker on the router.

We still need to know what router you have.

You have to log in  to the router, to change the passwords.

@kostaszyg ,

Reset your modem en then log in with te password en name written on the modem. Then login and change them to a personal one.

Good luck.

I have tried to log in with the name and the password present on the back of the router, but it does not work,

I do not know what router i have. It was placed my Ziggo almost 1 year ago. there are some specification: 2.4 GHz/ WPA2-PSK, if that means something….

Hello Cecilia

Thank you for your advice, it worked, i have changed my password

I have made the mistake and i have let my neighbor connected to my wifi because he had a problems with his internet. DO you think is it a problem with my privacy and security? If yes is there anything i can do?

Is he theoretically also possible to log in to my UPC using the username and password “admin”?

Can i change it as well?

Once again thank you for your advice.

Kind Regards
Kostas

Hey @kostaszyg .

You have changed your wifi password now, so your neighbour can't connect to your wifi (and modem) anymore. No need to be afraid ^^.

And yes, it is possible to change the password of your modem as well. You can find the option when you log in to the modem.
