hi,
I noticed something a bit odd on my laptop and the ziggo connection: in order to plug an ethernet i need to use an usb3 to ethernet gigabit adapter. i am experiencing errating behaviour with the mouse when i plug that adapter, i did a bit of search and found someone with the same problem, please see this article:
(link: https://superuser.com/questions/275474/why-touchpad-glitches-when-ethernet-cable-is-connected...superuser.com/questions/2754… also, could it be the power adapter of my router not grounded or something like that? the power outlet where the ziggo router is plugged is just a simple wall plug, the flatter types not the ones with the earth, it's the first time I see that in the Netherlands. we have on some plugs the earth but not on all plugs in this flat.
when the Ethernet is plugged, the laptops's touchpad starts glitching: can't move/press buttons, cursor is oscillating even when I don't move finger. or if i keep the finger on it will start moving oddly. If i unplug the adaptor and stay on wifi then it's back to normal.
my wife's laptop doesn't do it, mine does and it's a good ASUS.
Here's a clip showing the behaviour https://www.dropbox.com/s/rtd50nz94vmzdqp/Erratic%20Mouse%20over%20Ethernet%20Cable.mp4?dl=0
thanks,
Gabrio
