Hi all,
I'm sorry to be writing in english but my dutch is quite basic.
I'm experiencing a lot of instability in my internet connection. I had the same problem some weeks ago, then I got my router exchanged by a new one and the issue was gone until couple days ago.
It happens that the connection doesn't go away entirely but it's like it keeps disconnecting and connecting again every 5 seconds. I only noticed this when I switched on my PS4 and there the disconnection was real, it was really disconnected. Nothing that it's visible while using a laptop.
I have another router connected by wire to the Ziggo one and I thought that could be the problem. Then I did a reset on the second one but the problem was still there. Then I tried to plug the cable directly into the PS4, still keeps disconnecting. Then I plugged that same cable into my laptop and the same behaviour as I had before: "micro disconnections".
After all of this, I did a reset on my Ziggo router with no results again. Plugged a different cable and tested again, the issue was still there. Finally, I was looking if there was any outrage around my area (Almere Buiten) which was not. Also did a lot of research here in the community but nothing seems to be helping.
Side note: I have splitted the 2.4 GHz and the 5 GHz on my Ziggo router because there were some devices that were constantly connecting to 2.4 instead of 5, resulting in really low speeds. My second router is in dual mode.
After all of this, I think that the problem might be in the infrastructure outside my house and not something inside. Can anyone give me some hints? I ran out of ideas.
Thanks all and wish you all a merry Christmas!
