Bridge mode not visible

Hello,

I am trying to have my ConnectBox modem in Bridge Mode but I do not have that option on my settings.

I called customer service and they tried to do it remotely but still nothing.

They also switched from IPV6 to IPV4 and after a lot of restarts and factory resets still nothing.

I want to try the bridge mode because i recently bought the TP-Link DECO M4 Mesh system from Ziggo and since i installed it I have internet stability issues that are in both TP-Link and ConnectBox.

The problem is that even though that the modem is connected to the internet (online) there is no internet to any of my devices connected to Modem or TP-Link either with ethernet or wireless. That is happening a lot of times per hour.

Any suggestions?

Thank you fro your answers already.

Hi @Demech, welcome to our Ziggo Community!

Too bad you're facing problems with the internet connection on your modem and also on the new TP-Link DECO M4 Mesh System. Let's fix this together!
I would like to check everything on our side, could you update your address details in your community profile? Then I have the availability to check your account and settings!

Let me know when you updated your address details :thumbsup_tone2:

@Demech please post Docsis data from your modem here with some photo's how the modem is connected to the AOP.

Hi @Maud Ziggo,

thank you for your reply.

I have updated my profile.

Hi @Henno,

thank you too for your reply.

The connections is like it is shown in the pictures below. From the main cable (1st photo) goes to living room and from then with a splitter (2nd photo) I connect my modem.

In the meantime I requested a new modem and I just installed it.

I saw some interesting findings:

  1. The connected devices list now shows only the DECO M4 while the previous one was showing the complete list of devices connected to DECO M4 as well,
  2. The network diagnostic tool is 100% successful while the previous modem had always a failure on the ethernet,
  3. The bridge mode selections is still not available.

Nevertheless, the connection still seems unstable even though i have it only for an hour up and running.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Hello I’m curious about the state of your connectbox.

What is the color of the powerled on the bottom?

If it’s green during normal operation the connectbox is in Bridgemode.

You can doublecheck this using another ethernetport then number 1 on te back.

It should not give you an internal IP address and your device would not connect to the internet.

Also if your DECO has an address other then 192.168.x.x when you use it as a router you know the connectbox is in bridge mode.

 Hope this helps

@Demech your modem is in the wrong spot. Ziggo specifies that the modem should be connected within 1.5 meter of the AOP (that's the connection point at the green cable in the cupboard). The POA-01 splitter needs to be there including the modem. From there you need to make a separate connection to the living room, which already exists.

Hi @privateer

Thank you for your help.

Power light is White.

Deco has indeed the 192.168.x.x IP and both of them are in router mode now.

Hi @Demech

I checked your connection and your modem is perfectly online, I can see that you disabled the wifi. You can find the option ‘bridge’ when your logged in to your modem at ‘Router Status’. Do you see this when your logged in to your modem?
