I suffered from the same problem as the topic starter after a Windows 10 update.
After some googling, I found out that this problem is due to my Windows 10 version.
On my PC I have installed an "N" version of Windows 10, which means that a number of functionalities are not included, including certain media protocols. Here you can download a special update on the Microsoft website, unfortunately you have to update this extension after every major update of Windows 10. Through the following link I updated the extension to the latest version and now I can just use the ZiggoGO app for Windows 10. My Netflix application was also suffering from the same problem, even now it works again. This has to do with one or more media protocols that were missing since the update.
