WIFI continually drops out

Hi my WIFI continues to drop out, Ziggo advised me to switch to 5G which I did, it didn't fix the problem, rather it created significant issues as my smart TV and speakers don’t operate on the 5GHz band.  I had reset everything back to 2.4GHz, when you phone ZIGGO they tell you its because everyone is working from home.  The strange thing is its only been happening for the past two weeks and I’ve been working from home for five months.  I’m running my zoom calls from my Iphone hotspot as ZIGGO is too unstable.  The system upload and download speeds are also very low, I measure them every-time i have a drop out, upload is less than 10mbps, and download is less than 30mbps.

I’m paying for their fastest upload and download speeds.

When I check the network in my area it tells me theres no fault.  There won’t be if ZIGGO wont investigate the issue and just shrugs you off.

Hi @TonyHamilton

First of all I would like to give you a warm welcome. I am really sorry that you're still suffering severe wifi issues. When you are experiencing wifi issues, the 5 ghz band could be a good alternative. This is a faster and a lot more stable, but the signal does not reach as far as the 2.4 ghz band. Unfortunately some of your devices won't support the 5 ghz frequency. In that case you have to use the older and more interfered 2.4 ghz frequency. This frequency is in practice less stable and slower. In case of issues, you could configure the 2.4 ghz by changing the wifi channel. You can find a manual at this page

@TonyHamilton this might not be a WiFi issue at all. Did you try using a UTP cable?

Also you might want to post some data form your modem:
